• RUNAWAY ORACLE PROJECT

Issue 
Client operated 40 warehouses nationally housing Class C fasteners for just in time inventory management for various manufacturing companies. Multiple Issues: Inventory obsolescence and planning, no consolidated reporting, different part numbers for the same part in a different warehouse, run away Oracle project (over budget, over due by 2 years) was in development for Warehouse management. The Oracle project delays are costing money, driving it towards bankruptcy, and lost business opportunity. 

Solution 
› Analyzed custom Oracle distribution software project. 
› Wrote test scripts for Oracle MRP system rollout and performed system analysis to determine weeknesses and areas of unacceptable risk. 
› Recommended shut down of project due expense, delays and material weaknesses documented in my system analysis - Accepted by Board of Directors. 
› Design and Developed Access Application Database to consolidated five legacy warehouse system databases into a single source of truth datamart for inventory management. 

Benefits 
› Client was able to shut down a failing Oracle project and save millios of dollars and avoid bankruptcy.
